Last night I had the coolest birthday present.

My students all spontaneously sang Happy Birthday to me!
Now I admit that I am getting a little coy about telling people my birthday because... well with some people it gets a little embarrassing. So I usually just keep it to myself and my family.
It turns out however that one of my students and I share the same birth date.
He is, of course, quite a bit younger than me but it's kind of cool to have the same birth date so I told him. He of course remembered and organized everybody to sing happy birthday.
I think it is a tremendous sign of respect that they would do that and I am stoked.
