Tate-Shiho-Gatame (Vertical Four-Quarter hold) and Escapes
Tate-Shiho-Gatame roughly translated as Vertical Four-Quarter hold is possibly the weakest of the holds you can get. Unless you manage to wrap your feet around Uke's legs. Like they do in the first video.

The problem is that it is very difficult to get your legs in that position in a Shiai (Judo contest). What makes this hold even worse in a sense is that it is also the one that is most often the easiest to get in Shiai.
Watching the escapes video (the last one) give you a bunch of hints on how to avoid having Tate-Shiho-Gatame reversed on you.
It basically can be summed up in one sentence:
"Unless you can tuck your feet under Uke, avoid tucking your knees in too tight."
If you don't avoid tucking your knees in too tight it gives you no control against being rolled over or having your leg captured and traped.
